This is one of my favorite Enchantimals dolls! We have every Enchantimals doll and playset, from the bug-size tiny dolls to the regular-size dolls to the big huggable-size dolls. After my review, if you have any questions or would like me to upload a photo or video to show a particular feature or detail of this set or side-by-side comparisons with other Enchantimals dolls or accessories, just leave a comment and I’ll answer (assuming I get a notification that I have a comment on my review). And now – the review!Accessories -------------The basket is a repaint of the mold from the Paws for a Picnic set. I don’t mind getting the same accessories in different colors because if you wanted to, you could swap the handles and have one all-pink basket and one blue/yellow basket. Like the Paws for a Picnic basket, the wheels on the bottom of this basket aren’t real, either; they’re solid plastic, part of the mold of the basket. The basket has two pegs on top where the bunny pet (or any other Enchantimals pet with a hole) can sit without falling off while the basket is “wheeled” to a picnic site. I believe it has two pegs because the first release of the basket (in Paws for a Picnic) came with multiple bears. The basket opens, but the hinges are thin plastic, part of the mold, so that part is already turning white even though I’ve only opened it once; I suspect with a lot of use the lid flaps could easily break off. The bunny pitcher, garden tools, carrots, white “fur” shoulder piece, and flowers all fit inside the basket with plenty of room left for accessories from other sets. The basket is difficult to open, but it stays closed really well to hold small items inside of it.The planter is a repaint of the one from the Garden Magic set. The four flowers are the same as the Garden Magic set, same colors and everything. The garden tools and pitcher can hang on the pegs on the sides of the planter. The garden tools and bunny-shaped pitcher are also the same molds as the ones in the Garden Magic set. The hat is a repaint of the hat worn by the blue-haired bunny in the Garden Magic set.The lighting in the product page photo makes the carrots look like a wooden piece, but of course it is plastic, and it’s hollow in the back.Bunny Girl Doll -------------I LOVE the colors on the bunny girl’s top and skirt! The green is such a pleasant spring-grass color! The painted-on swimsuit is solid green, and the front of the top is painted with white lace detail and yellow and green buttons; these details are on the front only. The skirt is standard Enchantimals skirt fabric with a unique printed-on design, this time yellow, blue, orange, and pink flowers and butterflies. I’ve noticed that the skirts are getting narrower lately, and this one is a bit narrower than most Enchantimals skirts. The bunny girl’s ears are super loose, an occurrence I’ve seen in only two Enchantimals dolls; the other was the last Enchantimals doll I received last week, so maybe they’re using different glue that isn’t holding as well as it used to. The doll can’t hold the flowers or carrots, but she can hold the garden tools and pitcher, which have holes for the dolls’ hands to fit.This is the third version of the blue-haired bunny girl. The body is exactly the same as the first version. The only differences are the hairstyle (parted on the opposite side and no ponytail) and the outfit. The shoes are the same except the third version’s shoes are a different pink than the first. The pink color of the shoes doesn’t really match the outfit, though; I wish her shoes were green or blue. All three of the releases of this bunny have the same arm position, the same tippy-toe feet, and the same articulation (neck, side to side; shoulders, ball joints; hips front to back). We haven’t yet had a release of this particular character with articulated knees. The skirts can be swapped mix-and-match with the other blue-haired bunny dolls; the second version of the doll was a swimming doll that came with no skirt, but she can also wear both other dolls’ skirts. In general, this is third version is my favorite of the three blue-haired bunny doll releases, mainly because of the colors of her outfit (minus the shoes).Bunny Pet -------------The bunny pet is a bit unusual. This bunny is a sort of morph of the blue-haired bunny girl’s pet and the brown-haired bunny girl’s pet. The mold and paint are the same as the brown-haired bunny girl’s pet bunny, but the tuft of hair is white like the blue-haired bunny girl’s pet. The first release of the blue-haired bunny girl came with my preferred version of this pet because it doesn’t have the dreaded hole-and-claw mold. The second version of the blue-haired bunny didn’t come with a pet at all, and the third (the one I’m reviewing here) has that awful claw. It’s a creepy hole busted out of the back of the animal’s neck, and the pet’s “skin” twisted into a claw shape. The intent is that the doll can “hold” the pet. However, the claw is rubbery, too soft to clip on, so it just bends. If you manage to get the claw clipped to the doll’s arm, it doesn’t look like she’s holding it; it looks like the doll is levitating in front of her arm. Also, it doesn’t clip solidly to the arm, so it swings forward to look like the doll is carrying a purse made from the disemboweled corpse of her former pet – too disturbing a sight for a child’s toy. I do hope they get rid of this freaky feature in the pets. Until then, all of our claw-laden pets get tossed into a zip-top bag because no one wants to play with those creepy things. One of these days I’ll get some tools and materials to remove all of the claws and fill in those huge holes.In general it's a five-star set, minus one star for the creepy pet!That’s it for this set.
